Call for Manuscripts for a Special Issue of JCES

The Journal of Community Engagement and Scholarship (JCES) invites manuscripts for a special issue based on the theme of the 2012 National Outreach Scholarship Conference—Partner. Inspire. Change.—to be held at The University of Alabama, September 30–October 3, 2012.

Like the conference, this issue will be organized around three tracks: Voice of the Faculty and Staff, Voice of the Student, and Voice of the Community Partner. The editors and editorial board see this special issue as an opportunity for submissions not only by faculty and professional staff, but also by students and community partners.

Articles should be submitted as an email attachment to jces@ua.edu by March 1, 2013. For submission and format requirements see http://jces.ua.edu/submit/submit.html

JCES was founded in 2008 at The University of Alabama. It is one of two journals dedicated to the advancement of engaged scholarship worldwide sponsored in part by the Engagement Scholarship Consortium, successor to the National Outreach Scholarship Conference. The other is The Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement, founded in 1996 at The University of Georgia.

Research, practice-from-the-field, and commentary manuscripts, as well as book reviews, are sought on topics in keeping with the theme of NOSC 2012.
